In this film we captured the heartfelt story of the significance of being accepted.
The approach
After talking with this individual for 30 minutes to hear her story, I wanted to structure the narrative around three elements:
The Past > The Event > The Outcome
This narrative arch beautifully captures how her life has been transformed. It invites audience members to relate to, sympathize, and think about their own journey.
This is the kind of story that doesn’t just inform, it connects, inspires, and stays with you after the video ends.
Beloved.
“He had hit complete rock bottom, struggling with the darkest part of depression. He decided to finally reach out to his dad to get some help. When his father saw his son, he didn’t recognize him. There was an expression of disgust. Then when he realized it was his son, it changed to delight.” Hearing that story, and realizing that God looks at me with delight, as His beloved daughter in Christ, transformed my life.
The Result
This video was first shown to the person filmed, and she expressed her gratitude as it moved her to hear her own story again. It was then showed to the congregation, and is housed on the Church’s website. It serves as a testimony to the power of God’s love, the importance of community, and the mission of Park Church.
